Brice is a hands-on optical engineer who completed his MSc/MEng in Optoelectronics Engineering in Paris, France and then moved to London, United Kingdom to do his PhD 18 years ago. His research specialised in high-resolution retinal imaging and ophthalmic wavefront sensing which has led him to work on a number of projects, including trying to develop an adaptive optics fundus camera. In the last 5 years, Brice has been Head of Optics at a multinational company, developing among other things optical sorters for the food and recycling industries.
