The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to get hands-on in managing Occuity’s design verification protocols for a number of new medical devices
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To develop Occuity’s test plans, requirements-testing trace matrixes, design qualification reports, and qualification summary reports
- Leading the global regulatory compliance for products
- Own product compliance testing and partnership management
- Development and execution of verification tests including sourcing of equipment, the creation of work instructions and standard operating procedures, commission and statistical analysis of data (e.g. Guage R&R, calculation of Cpks, etc.) Create and own product test specifications in conjunction with Quality Engineers
- Create test procedures and protocols
- Managing and scheduling tests both internally and at external test facilities
- Documenting and preparing presentations, reports, and analysis. Documentation of test requirements, procedures, protocols, standards, plans, and report
- Communicating results and informing risks within the business to key stakeholders
- Development and maintenance of Occuity’s calibration and maintenance plans and related instructions to ensure equipment is functional and fit for purpose
- Hands-on product testing as required
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified to degree level in MEng, BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience of working in a regulated environment: ideally medical but Automotive or Aviation skills can be transferred
- Strong mathematics and statistical analysis background
- MS Office competency, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and application in real-world environments
- Good time management and organisational skills to meet timescales and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated
- Flexible and adaptable
Desirable
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 60601
- Expertise in Atlassian suite (Jira & Confluence)
- Experience in MATLAB, mechanical CAD SW e.g. OnShape, Solidworks etc.
