The Role
As part of our ambitious growth plans, Occuity is now seeking an enthusiastic individual to get hands on in managing Occuity’s purchasing, supply chain and stock management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distributions aspects of the company
- Review new project proposals for the company
- Communicate with the marketing and sales team to effect working strategies
- Analyse existing purchasing processes for performance
- Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
- Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
- Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability and resolve issues with non-conforming product
- Maintain a good rapport with the company's clientele
- Manage and maintain stock control and supply chain process
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Fantastic office admin skills
- Data literacy - strong numerical reasoning.
- MS Office competency, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills, especially to be able to communicate externally with suppliers and internally with colleagues
- Good time management and organisational skills to meet timescales and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused
- Self-motivated
- Flexible and adaptable
- Good computer literacy
Desirable
- Some previous experience in supply chain or procurement would be desirable
- Some experience of working within the medical devices field and familiarity with ISO13485
